Khezershahr Villa

The villa complex is situated between the Caspian Sea and the lush greenery of the northern forests of Iran, presenting unique design challenges and opportunities. The geographical location influences the project significantly, necessitating a design that harmonizes with the natural landscape. The site’s context emphasizes the importance of integrating landscape identity into the design.

The site’s location between the Caspian Sea and verdant surroundings shapes the project’s design focus. The design strategy centers on reflecting the landscape’s identity and optimizing the natural features through thoughtful design.

The design aims to incorporate natural lines and forms to shape the landscape, creating a living environment that blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The natural topography, including its elevations and depressions, is used to influence the building’s form and functionality. Private spaces are integrated into the building’s roof, providing unique, elevated areas that connect with the landscape.

Design Idea I

Paddy Fields

The site’s context highlights the significance of integrating nature and green spaces. Analysis of the paddy fields reveals their role in creating a dynamic landscape with slopes and ridges, which contributes to a distinctive experience. The design embraces these natural variations, creating habitable spaces that allow people to engage with and enjoy the landscape actively.

Design Idea II

Traditional Houses

The architectural style of ancient Iranian houses reflects the region’s public culture, climate, and religious beliefs. Traditional Iranian buildings were designed to maximize the benefits of natural elements like light, wind, and water while mitigating the effects of heat and cold. This design approach informs the current project, drawing on historical methods of creating functional and responsive architecture that harmonizes with its environment.
